Flowers for Easter. . . As we celebrate and praise our Risen Lord this Easter, we again want to decorate our church with fresh flowers. We are again asking for your help to make a beautiful Easter garden. You can choose from seven different plants. While you may not specify a particular color, an assortment will be ordered. Please fill out the order form that is in your mailbox and attach your check payable to Divine Shepherd, and place it in the Czech family mailbox by Sunday, March 21st. All pots are $9.50 each. After the 10:00 service on Easter Sunday, you will be able to take home the potted flower you have purchased. If you have any questions, please contact Diana Czech at 414-235-4504.
Wednesdays during Lent . . . Please plan to arrive between 6:15 and 6:30 P.M. and go to the fellowship area for dinner. You may go through the serving line as you arrive. At 6:30 there will be an opening prayer. Around 6:50 we will continue to worship with singing, Scripture readings, a dramatic reading, message, prayers, and Holy Communion. Everything will take place in the fellowship area. May God bless our Lenten journey together!
Youth Worship Service – Sunday, April 18th at 10:00am. A meeting will be held on Sunday, March 21st at 9:00am in the church sanctuary for all Youth that would like to participate in the service. See the flyer in your church mailbox.
Close Encounters with Jesus Presenting an 8 week sermon series for Lent and Easter worship including six Wednesday 6:30 pm dinner services: Drama, praise dance, congregation response, and children's presentations are all included to make this the best encounter with Jesus that you will ever have! As Bible characters who knew Jesus up-close-and-personal come to life, you will have an engaging encounter with the King of Kings who came to save you! Kid's Connection is a part of the Sunday morning worship and a nursery will be provided. More details to come...!
JV Girls Soccer Coach needed. Milwaukee Lutheran High School is in need of a JV girls soccer coach for the spring 2010 season, March 22 to May 25. This position carries a stipend. PTL for Divine Shepherd prayers!! Bob & Sharon Eberhardt are so grateful that our Lord made room in your hearts to pray for us while also praying for so many others needs in our church family. Readings and dramas for the Lent & Easter season. We are planning many wonderful readings and dramas for the Lent and Easter season. Wouldn't you like to be a part of sharing God's story during our worship services? Some parts are read, some are memorized, all are ways to reach out to others with God's Word. Have you recently become unemployed due to “downscaling or the economy”? If so, we can help. Lutheran Counseling and Family Services located at 3800 N. Mayfair Rd in Wauwatosa will offer a free group to interested individuals that will focus on how to cope and/or how to proceed towards the future. Call 414-536-8333 to reserve a space in the group. Group sessions will begin soon on Tuesday afternoons at 1pm.

DSLC Mission Team has
adopted a mission project for the coming year. We would like DSLC
members to help support Bethany Lutheran Church in their outreach to
their community. They are starting a "Soup Kitchen" to be held every
Wednesday from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM. The support that is needed
includes donations of time {help set up, or serving, or clean up} or
money to purchase food, or maybe even to help cook. You could do this
once a month, once a quarter or once a year. This is our opportunity to
be part of a mission outreach in our hometown. Contact Marilyn Riese or

Shepherd’s Care Preschool is accepting
enrollment for the 2009-10 school year. Preschool classes will be
offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We provide a nurturing
environment where children ages 3-4 can grow developmentally and
